Christmas List, Meet Jingle G

I have an addiction to Harajuku Lovers (and anything else made/designed/breathed by Gwen Stefani). I have all 5 original Harajuku Lovers fragrances, the 5 winter varieties, the 5 summer beach varieties, various freebie beach towels and boxes… and that’s before I even begin on the handbags, clothes and other collectable items.

It comes as no surprise that this year, Jingle G is at the TOP of my Christmas List. I met her in Boots yesterday and she smells like berries, orange blossom and vanilla… holly, mince pies and crisp winter nights. Check the picture… it won’t surprise me if she’s at the top of your list now too.

Gwen Stefani is my ULTIMATE style and life icon. She manages to balance music, family and fashion in a way that gives her the most desirable superhero status. Gwen always looks great – from her punk rock days in No Doubt, she has soared through her 2 solo albums to become the sophisticated woman she is today.

The photos here are from Gwen’s ELLE cover (UK, April 2011). The article is an interview with Gwen and one of her closest friends – Garbage frontwoman Shirley Manson – and is all about style. Gwen has her own designer clothing line, LAMB, which is full of outstanding dresses, jackets, trousers and shirts. And I love everything about it. LAMB is Gwen’s baby, and it’s obvious she has a lot of input into the line as it appears to reflect her to a T. Her kids line, Harajuku Lovers, is a fantastic collection too – full of crazy prints and colours, and the start of her perfume range (of course I own them all). Can this woman do no wrong?

It is my life inspiration to be like Gwen Stefani. Whether that means dying my hair bleach blonde, donning the vixen red lipstick, creating a band or indulging in more high fashion purchases. I’ll do whatever it takes. Maybe I can test my sewing skills to the extreme and create my own label? Perhaps a little ambitious – but then again, I doubt Gwen got where she is now without a little ambition, hope and creativity.

Gwen Stefani has always been my number one inspiration for life. Her new autumn/winter 2011 ready-to-wear collection was shown at New York Fashion Week, and these pictures show my favourite looks right from the runway. Love her, love them!

An aviator jacket paired with a girly skirt shouldn't work, yet here it does. I love the volume and fluidity of the skirt compared to the bulky jacket, not to mention the cut-out pattern around the bottom. Hot.

I love everything about this dress. The colours, the pattern, the length, the layers... it all looks so lavish and well-travelled. I'd snap this up in an instant and pair it with heavy boots to offset the femininity of the floaty material. If only I was several thousand pounds richer.

The leading lady with her 4-year-old son Kingston walk the runway to close the show. Too cute for words.
