About Me

My name’s Louise, I’m in my 20s and live in Yorkshire in the North of England with my considerably taller other half.

I started sewing in July 2010 and thought it would be a nice idea to keep record of everything I’ve accomplished. I like to blog about what I’m sewing and cross-stitching, fashion that catches my eye and all the things that inspire me, often with the odd website or book review in between. I’ve recently started sneaking my origami/baking/card making projects into the mix too!

Over the past couple of years I’ve written blogs in other places too. I got my big break with reallykidfriendly.com - a fantastic website full of ideas to entertain your kids with -by writing a series of articles about the National Trust and Disneyland Paris. The site was nominated for a 2012 Brilliance in Blogging Award with help from my contributions.

In 2012 I also moved to Paris for 3 months and worked as an au-pair. I kept a record of everything I did there on my La Fille a Paris blog here.

Please feel free to comment or subscribe, pass me onto your friends or keep me a secret. I appreciate every single one of your views and would love to hear what you think about my writing and, of course, my sewing and craft projects.
